Alternative lending platform Sancus has expanded its business development team in the north and south of the country with two new appointments.
Barry Dillon (pictured) has joined the business development team in the north and Tony Grillo has been appointed to the business development team in the south.
Dillon previously worked at trade finance brokerage Newable and has also worked at Together Money. He has 17 years of experience in the commercial banking and real estate finance sectors, specializing in bridging and development finance.

Grillo has over 20 years of sales and underwriting experience in the real estate financing markets and joined Sancus from Positive Lending where he was the top performing regional account manager for six years.
Earlier this year, Sancus hired Mel Fourie as head of sales, North, and Jaxon Stevens as head of sales, South. Dillon and Grillo will join their respective teams in Manchester and London.
“I am delighted to welcome both Tony and Barry to the growing Sancus team,” said Richard Whitehouse, sales director, UK, at Sancus.
“They both have the qualities we value at Sancus, extensive knowledge of the real estate finance industry, a ‘can-do’ attitude, they are respected in the business world and a pleasure to work with.
“Over the past few months, we’ve invested heavily in people, both front and back office, and expanded our lines of funding in preparation for a smashing 2022.
“Despite the pandemic bringing the challenges of 2021, it has turned out to be a record year for us in the UK. The hiring of Tony, Barry and the new starters this year and those we are happy to announce in early 2022 will enable us to build on the successful foundation we have laid in 2021.”
